Maribyrnong City Council launches "MyServices"

Posted 16 November 2010 by Sean Fishlock (Datalink)

We've recently finished a project for the City of Maribyrnong which aimed to provide map based e-services for their existing website.

Working with the City's Online Communications Officer, George, and borrowing the styles and graphics from the councils website for consistency, we were able to provide a cost-effective solution based on Google Maps technology that allows residents to type in their address and find their local wards, waste collection times, distances to nearby community facilities and transport information.  The system was also designed to be mobile compatible.

Bradley Hogan and Scott Davey were the key programmers involved in the project.

Maribyrnong is a local government area in Melbourne's inner west with an estimated population of 71,523 and includes the suburbs of Braybrook, Footscray, Kingsville, Maidstone, Maribyrnong, Seddon, Tottenham, West Footscray and Yarraville.
